Gustave Flaubert
Writing is a medium of
human communication, that represents language through
the inscription or recording of signs and symbols. We also know that writing is considered a
productive skill, because the main purpose is to produce language in a written
way.
In other words, writing involves communicating a message by making signs that could be
understandable by others. There are two main things that we should consider
when we write something, accuracy and communicating.
Accuracy
refers to the correct use of language for example correct spelling,
writing legible and using the proper punctuation, another fact we
should consider is cohesion, this is a crucial point on the writing
moment because it helps to make the sentences logical and easy to understand,
this may help to provide the right message to the reader.
There are some steps that may help us to have a good final writing, this are called the stages of writing or writing process, they may contribute to have a good result: drafting, editing, proofreading and re-drafting, are in charge of making the writing process better.
We as future
teachers, must use the steps I mentioned above in order to make our students writing process easy to understand.
Personally this is the most difficult skill, and we must be very carefully on how we transmit the message to our students.
