PHONOLOGY

Sounds are the ones who can define our language and messages, and its phonology the subject in charge, of studying the different sound features used in language in order to communicate meaning.

Phonology is just one of several aspects of language. It is related to other aspects such as phonetics, morphology, syntax, and pragmatics           

Having this in mind we have to realize, how important it is for us the study of phonology and the usefulness of a phonemic chart in the learning process.

When we talk about phonology there are certain words we need to associate or related to it,  words such as rhythm, stress and sounds, The application in a proper way of this elements when we are speaking are crucial for the connotation of our message.

But we may ask as future teachers, if we are capable enough to teach phonology to our students, If we have clear the importance of articulating sounds properly, we must be sure of applying it in our every day, especially if we are going to be in front of a group of people, teaching them what it is supposed to be correct

How we emphasize words, and the intonation we gave to them would determine our message. As adults we are conscious of the study of phonology and its influence, but what about children, for sure would be very complex to tech them, that is why on the video above you may find some good material to teach phonology in context.
